Except NT4 does not support the VOICE aspect of voice modems. The modem has
to have specific voice drivers for NT to do voice stuff. I haven't found a
modem that has working NT voice drivers yet, if anybody knows of one could
they let me know. I don't know how this will effect using the DTFM ability
though.
Just my two cents worth.
BTW, I would like to be proven wrong about the NT modem voice support as we
had to pull a feature from one of our products because of it.

Can't tell you about software, but the Basic Stamp does it I believe with
very little external electronics. Alternatly DSE sell a decoder chip, which
I suspect will take a little more to interface - but is about $20.
As for software, perhaps the ideal solution is one of those voice modems
which I believe have a DTFM ability built in. You can then interface with
the modems driver, which I assume will have an API you can use.

Subject: [DUG]: Decoding Dial Tones
Hi.
Can anyone tell me of a component or some code, that will decode the tone
from a button pressed on a phone ? (DTFM ??)
Thanks,
