Hmm, sounds familiar.  Where have I heard of this problem before...?

Just a thought, is the proxy client really necessary.  I de-installed mine 
and everything still works. But ten I don't think the proxy client effected 
my socket connections either.  Perhaps you should install the proxy client 
on your PC and see if you get the same results connecting to the development 
server.


It's amazing what clarity of thought one has after a few days off..
