I dont think so - I think it saves it in an internal format, tho it might be
close to the DBF format. I've definatly never seen a way to open a DBF with
it.

TClientDataSet is designed for client-side caching of MIDAS data, but can be
used without MIDAS (and indeed without a MIDAS license - see the inprise web
site for more details on the license). Its good for REALLY small data sets
(<10 meg, for example), and it also has a SQL interface of sorts. Worth a
look if you want a lightweight data solution, but I dont think its
compatable with any other formats.

Its in Pro and Enterprise, from memory.
