Good call, Dennis :), hopefully they would be better than the current crop
of Delphi icons/bitmaps.
Anyway, I agree with Richard - what do people think? I'm not sure if we are
allowed to comment (its usually "please refer everything to Ray"), but I for
one am interested what our customers have to say, even if we can't talk back
to them at the moment.
My take on it, as a long time Borland customer/user before being an
"employee": I dont care one way or the other*, but my order of preference
yesterday (ie, pre collapse) was:
*as long as Inprise continues to make top flight tools (Delphi/JB/Kylix
:)/AppSever etc)
1) dont merge. I dont see what Inprise had to gain from it.
2) wait and see (ie, what was happening for the last few months) It sucked
waiting to know tho.
3) merge, if you have to. See #1.
I dont see what Inprise had to gain out of a merger (not takeover) with
corel. I can see what Corel has to gain tho.
Oh, well. Its unlikely to change the focus of the company (Linux /
Enterprise), and interbase is still likely to be OpenSource, so if I left
Inprise today (I'm not) and went back to be a non-affiliated developer (like
everyone else other than Richard), I'd be a happy camper - my 4 favourate
products (Delphi, IB, JBuilder, AppServer) on all the platforms I give a
toss about (Windows and Linux).
Just my 2c.

Is it not a foolish man, said little Woo, who keeps all his chickens in his
trousers?
For at best, will he not suffocate his chickens, and, and worst, will he not
disappoint the ladies in the village? --Alexi Sayle
