Unfortunately, having the best products does not gaurentee a successful
business. If I was a share holder in Borland, I would be mighty p.o'd with
the company - too many changes, too little profit.
Once good reason for a merger is to get some cash, something Borland
desperately needs.

My most pesimistic nightmare has taken a giant leep closer to reality - that
being the complete collapse of the company. Given the popularity of the
tools it's probably more likely that a hostile take-over is not far away....
the hostile force could be MS (only for Delphi) or maybe even Oracle.
Either way, something will have to go and I suspect the Kylix project is
seriously under threat.
