[DUG]: Capability not supported

Hi All   I am wanting to, as simply as possible, add a couple of fields to a client site's Paradox (level 7) database.   The Database Desktop Help tells me that the following is valid - but I get a message saying "Capability not supported" when I try to execute this in the Database Desktop.   alter table dockets add OwnInvFlag short   Can anyone help me, please.    If I DO get this working - can I put this statement into the lines of a TQuery and execute it?  or does TQuery only support DML statements?   TIA   Mark
