the one problem I remember having along these lines (that I was never
able to find a way around) was with a paradox table that had a field
named "value"
there does not appear to be a way - even with quotes unless I made
some stupid mistake - to avoid confusing the BDE with this when
trying to create a record using an explicit value list.
Since then I've always imagined creating a database with fields named
"select" and "index" and "union" just to watch things unravel.
