Except perhaps for all the thousands of lines of code in there that have
nothing whatsoever to do with Windows? The VCL is more than just TForm,
TEdit and TButton. And rewriting the VCL from scratch using just the
interface documentation is neither simple nor (for most people) fun.
I assume that a number of people involved in the project actually have, or
at least have access to, Delphi and the VCL source. That being the case,
and taking into account the attitude of the average Linux programmer, I
figure it's more likely that they simply ripped the whole VCL source and
started changing it to work with their compiler & platform. That is, after
all, the Linux Way.
