Just my 2 pennies worth...
I realise that there are companies out there who will willingly pay the
enterprise price or higher. Also, some companies will not trust cheapie
tools.
And Borland cant see why they should miss out on those. This was the
original justification for creating the Enterprise version and was as such a
marketing ploy.
The problem now is that with clients being wiser and fussier and more
demanding, most of us probably need the features in the Enterprise version.
What it means is that if we do need the Enterprise version, we will not be
buying it, especially since we have been royally pissed off with the
problems and bugs with int64 and other things in D5, costing us almost two
months of extra work. And there is still no clear answer if Borland have
fixed int64.
Nic, where can I find a feature list between the versions to see if Pro will
do or if I have to migrate to some other development tool. At this price,
Magic and Omnis are much much better choices.
