Hi All. Well whilst I agree with everyone about the pricing structrue (which
I am sure is based on the "think of a number, double it" theory) Borland
uses and the objectionalble price they charge to upgrade, MS dont really
offer any good incentive when upgrading to SQL Server 2k from SQL 7. I think
it still cost my work a pretty penny to get the new lics for it.

Couldn't agree more.
Also one other point Premier 6.0 Video Editing software has just been
released. $2000 for first time buyers, $338 to upgrade. Now that is a much
fairer upgrade price...

"Windows" may be here to stay, but in what format that Windows is, is
another question.
With Windows moving into the whole .NET thing, "Windows" as we know it now
is NOT here to stay. I'm glad to see Delphi 6 support the .NET framework,
and I'm also glad to see Kylix here as well, however it would have been
nice to have seen "Delphi 6 for Windows, .NET, and Linux" sold as one
product, this would be acceptable for the prices they're charging.
Also, regarding the 1/2 price Kylix if you buy D6 - what if you purchased
Kylix last month, can you get D6 1/2 price? It would seem only fair,
otherwise I could see alot of seriously miffed off people...
