Read through the help file 'Moving to Client/Server' on IBObject site:

It's very helpful.

Switching a local database app to a client/server model is only easy if you 
are used to thinking the C/S way. But when moving from the world of 
Paradox, TTables, and DBGrids, it can be a difficult transition to make.
But the help file above should give you a good idea of what you're up 
against, which depends on how the current app is designed.

Or, you can always cheat with WinFrame ;)
