Morning all,
Our customers need to dynamically generate -> preview -> print complex RTF
documents from within our D5 Apps, the building blocks (RTF format) of these
documents are stored in the DB tables as Blob fields.
Due to the limitation of QuickReport (we use 3.8 Std) - e.g.
QRRichText/QRDBRichText simply can't stretch properly through multiple
pages - we are looking for some alternative components which will offer all
or most of the following:
/. Strait Delphi VCL package.
/. BDE, IBX, ADO support.
/. Good visual design UI (similar to QR).
/. Preview, print (export).
/. No or light deployment overhead, ideally compile and run.
/. Free or inexpensive.
... Well, you know what I'm after.
I have some knowledge about ReportBuilder and CrystalReport RDC, but would
like to hear from experienced users on currently available tools. All
recommendations are welcome and appreciated.
