I am both maintaining and starting new projects in Delphi, and wont be learning a new language anytime soon. My Hobbies are so busy I have no time for playing with other tools. Besides which, by doing my own software I'm not forced into needing to use another languages. Delphi is still excellent (although I cant compare against the newer offerings from MS)
I have a huge investment in time and tools developed for Delphi and if I was going to migrate I'd need a migration plan for those tools too. As far as getting work in Delphi. I have not even looked for 6 years.... no idea about the climate.
