I'm not particularly well up on Windows 7, but if you're talking about applications by default NOT running elevated, then Vista was the same.
As you say, there is a difference between running applications simply while logged into an administrative account and an application running "elevated", but it's not completely new in W7. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jan Bakuwel Windows 7 has a more strict access control system (Microsoft changed it quite a bit since Vista) - even if the user has administrative rights, any programs started by that user do not get administrative rights unless explicitly granted (via a dialogue). I welcome this change ... but it seems they might have taken it too far? _______________________________________________ NZ Borland Developers Group - Delphi mailing list Post: [email protected] Admin: http://delphi.org.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi Unsubscribe: send an email to [email protected] with Subject: unsubscribe
