Virtual as in VMware Workstation or Xen.  Don't expect any support for
DirectX though (i.e. aero or games)

My ears pricked up at mention of Ubuntu, that is what I am using but I 
have a question, by 'virtual machine' do you mean a dual boot or Linux 
interpreting Windows (Wine style)?
