Of course I know I can’t give a version away, but I wish there was a way as a
community support. Maybe the free download limited editions take care of
that....
Think of all those unused bits – they must get so frustrated at never being
turned on or off...

I still maintain a Delphi museum: All versions of Delphi from 1.0 thru to XE5.
The only one missing is Delphi 8 and 2005 (the .NOT [sic] releases).
w.r.t donating unused versions, if the current version you use was licensed as
an upgrade to an older version, the fact that you no longer use that older
version doesn't alter the fact that your current licensed version is only
licensed on the basis of the license for the older version so if you give up
that original license, the validity of your upgrade licenses becomes doubtful.
You can apply to transfer licenses, but it's far from straightforward.

As far as I understand, yes – back to about D2007 I think. I have more
versions of Delphi than I can shake a stick at (XE2,XE5,XE6).
Aside – its a pity there is not a way to donate an unused version to eg a
student as part of the up and coming Delphi community.

Does Embarcadero still offer old versions of Delphi when purchasing the new
version?
