Actually, accountants are smarter than engineers. Engineers drop fortran for a simpler language that takes far less time to code. Accountants keep to old COBOL knowing full well that something that will normally take an hour will take one week and they can see the $$$ in keeping their clients locked on to an ancient with an ever decreasing pool of programmers. Thus the engineer earns $70 and the accountant charges $5000 for the same job. May be we should all learn COBOL :).
