Well I still support hundreds of thousands of lines of Fortran and 
occasionally write in FORTRAN when the need arises. The availability of
scientific and engineering software libraries still keep it alive. 
Personally I hate it but its practically my first language. Modern variants
like F90, F95 keep it alive and useful but there is a significant standards
problem.
