Having said all that, which I mostly agree with, I still find that Delphi
.NET is a much better experience than using VS.NET. I much prefer the Delphi
IDE even though it can be a bit sluggish.

Slightly more offtopic:
I have just read some docs on the up coming Whidbey version of VS.NET. I
just browsed really but some of the features in ASP.NET Whidbey are very
mouth watering indeed. Am I correct in assuming that "Whidbey" is just a
code name for .NET framework 2.0 and something that will be available to all
.NET compilers (i.e Delphi), or is it talking about enhancements to VS.NET
that we wont see?

It actually got released on the same day as the article being published. If
you will note the article talks about two patches, one being a 'small scope
patch' that will be released in the 'coming days - not weeks'. And then
there will be a 'more broad scoe update...available in the beginning of
March'.

And seeing as we are not quite in march yet all we have is the small scope
one.

Thats the way that I read it anyway - they quickly patched some huge errors
and are still working on a much more signifigant patch that will make the
product more usable, and IMHO bring the quality/polish/shine that it should
have had when first released.

Hopefully, fingers crossed.

Nahum.
