The default delphi 8 license is a named user license.

i.e. you can install it on as many machines as you use, as long as you are
the only user of that Delphi 8 license. Notice I said license and not
machine. That also means you can use several machines at the same time if
required.

I think from memory, someone mentioned, that once your install count reaches
a certain number, the automatic license will stop and you will then need to
talk to Borland about it ...

Agreed. I have already installed D8 about 3 or 4 times, due to different
reasons each time. Although it is on the same machine each time. I seem to
remember and don't take it as gospel, that Borland allow you to install it
on a number of machines, as long as on one is being used at any one time.

Perahps if they get 30 registrations of the same license, then they know
they have an issue.
Over the lifetime of a single Delphi version I would probably have to
register between 3 & 7 times.
