If Glscene gets completely working in Lazarus then I suspect all 3D stuff goes to that. Shims, services, quick-and-dirty RAD for windows - think I will be Delphi 7 for some time for that. Java + Eclipse for much else. On other hand I am still maintaining fortran - too large to move and supervising a fortran to c conversion which is also large but necessary for the MPI port. I can be highly productive in Delphi in way that I cant be in any other language. The compiler is fast enough for me not feel that I am sacrificing runtime speed too badly. When your fastest CPU is too slow for you, would you move an app to C# or Java? ---------------------------------------------------------- Phil Scadden, Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences 764 Cumberland St, Private Bag 1930, Dunedin, New Zealand Ph +64 3 4799663, fax +64 3 477 5232 _______________________________________________ Delphi mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/delphi
