The reason I switched is nothing at all to do with .NET as a platform. About 3 years ago I had a play with C# and liked it.
I have been moving new apps to C# the last couple of years, and now am employed as a C# developer. To me these days C# gives me the same feel that Delphi used to. Delphi is still good, but IDE issues have turned me off. I do a lot of Asp.NET apps too and makes sense to do it all out of the same IDE. I tried D2005 but the issues with the IDE and the fact that at Pro level you cant use SQL Server with ADO.NET is a showstopper. I still use Delphi for Win32, but to be honest if there was a C# for Win32 would probably use it. Delphi was/is a great tool and was literally years ahead of its time, but unfortunately (IMO) its time has come, and going forward C# is a better option for me. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tom Munro Glass Sent: Thursday, 14 July 2005 17:03 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [DUG] Traffic Builiding Question.
