Send a hyperlink for download ... Really, sending executables in email is just too troublesome, I guess like 50% of company firewall will block access to it .. and users of the newer Outlook versions will also not able to access those files (executable attachment will get blocked by default in Outlook XP/2003 (if I remember right)).
