I dont know, but I would doubt it. I have a small stand alone utility program, for convenience and simple installation and copying to another PC I install everythinginto the same folder (by default not under program files eg C:\AboutTime, and the user can choose where)- programs/ INI file/data all in the same folder, as its only about 10 small files all up, and nothing installed elsewhere. Under XP this works fine as long as the user has rights to create the folder when installing. Anyone know of any issues with such a scheme under Vista - I understand it enforces no data under the Programs folder. Does it enforce no programs outside of the programs folder?
