What do you think is causing the missing don't and the crashing?

I am having trouble creating binaries for Darwin. I did natively compile
denemo on Darwin but the denemo.ttf don't is not displaying on the side or
in the menu. Everything else seems fine. This was compiled against gtk3. I
don't know if the problem will be gone if I use gtk2.  What do you
recommend I do?
