The recent bug with similar cause is this one:
bug #46376: denemo-2.0.0 fails to compile/link
from this I gather the real problem is unresolved, I just hope the build that
resulted gave a useful program - to check, you need to actually generate a PDF
of music notation (via View->Typeset and PDF)
Please let me know if patching in commit
a62c36168c99411fd9da40efd9c1679d4e7cd470
does give you a usable program (not just builds).
