If you are willing to compile vsftp and openssh, it works well on Solaris 10.

I've been using it on a number of Solaris 10 systems for years now.  Works
well and doesn't require much beyond explaining to the occasional user
they have locked themselves out and why.  I white list local ISPs (class B
addresses) in /etc/hosts.allow

I wrote a denyhosts.xml to run it as a service in Solaris.
