Kim Haase commented on DERBY-6527:
----------------------------------
Thanks, Dag. So I guess I should remove "or NO ACTION" from the two sentences.
Would that be enough, since we are clarifying the BEFORE trigger situation?
About this --
"Btw, I discovered that the section completely omits to state that the default
action for ON DELETE as well as for ON UPDATE is "NO ACTION". I think this
should be made explicit early on."
I don't think it is valid syntax to omit specifying an action -- you have to
provide one after ON DELETE or ON UPDATE, according to the syntax of the
REFERENCES clause. So I think it makes sense not to mention a default. What do
you think?
