Rick Hillegas commented on DERBY-1387:
--------------------------------------
Thanks for the new patch, John. A couple comments:
1) The informational/error messages which return to the user still need to be
localized. It's probably a good idea to get this out the way before you get too
deep into testing. See Bernt's response on October 8, 2007.
2) I was pleasantly surprised to see that when I run this under jdk1.4, the
security manager doesn't choke on the missing jmx permissions. I guess the vm
must be silently swallowing ClassNotFoundExceptions.
3) I'm looking forward to some basic tests which will show me how to model some
experiments. In particular, I want to see how this JMX-initiated shutdown plays
with the new permissions introduced by DERBY-2109.
