A reasonable point. I've been using Word, or programs with similar interfaces since 1992. I do not know a single person aged under 30 who likes the new interface. I know plenty under 30 who do not like it. Correction, I know one person aged 40-something who likes it. Back then, there were few features so it was difficult to get too cluttered. By 2003, there were many features that were difficult to find and nobody knew they were there. The same goes for OO/SO/LibO. But, an important point in interface design is familiarity. Maybe that's the real reason why I hate the thing. Good interfaces work the way I think. If I have to re-skill to use a word-processor, it's a badly designed word- processor IMHO. Many people have come to LibO/OO as refugees from MSO 07. Let's not drive them away.
