Hi,

So, Eyal Rozenberg suggested that the current behavior of the grid in Draw
/ Impress should not be changed at all. This blocks any proposed changes I
created a POC for. See the related bug ticket:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120897

It would be nice to get a definitive decision from the design team. For the
time being, I left this ticket alone, because I would rather not invest
more of my time into something that will then be rejected.

I think my second proposal, having a 3x3 pixel crosses / plus signs for all
the grid points, is a good way to improve the situation (see attached
screenshots in the bug ticket). Since the secondary grid points are also
snapping points, this cross sign would visually indicate the functionality
of the points, on top of increasing the visibility. If the team could
approve that idea, it's something that can be implemented without an
enormous effort.

Anyway, I leave it to the design team to discuss this topic.

Best Regards,
Tamás
