The new blog post doesn't represent the new design, it shows the first steps in making it. The new design is still in progress. > > I've seen another design on irc with nina paley's drawings, and I don't > see it in the post... Robert will be writing a new blog post soon describing the process of taking the stuff from the recent blog post and developing it into this new stuff with new logo etc. The stuff with Mimi and Eunice is the real design we'll be going with. > > > Now feedback : > > As I said before the look is ok, but the feel is less ok. > > Everything since revolves around the name there's a lot of snow and a > very cold feel. I'll let Robert address the other points, but we certainly care a lot about emphasizing actual projects and process. Those are good points. For the overall feel, I'd like to see more green trees (work in the twin pines green co-op logo subtly), and I certainly liked some of the other color schemes (the blog post didn't show them) that had a bit more bright colors, but I see pros and cons. We definitely can and will figure out good ways to highlight actual projects as well. > > Also, this is all about people passionate about their project : more of > them, less graphics/ diagrams. > > > Once again the design shown are solid basis and a very good work. I'm eager to see the next blog post in the series and the finalizing of the logo etc. I hope Robert will weigh in here soon about how he wants to organize interested folks to help with the design. I just made this new teams page: https://snowdrift.coop/p/snowdrift/w/en/teams And I haven't said it before, but Robert: As lead designer, I welcome you to now specify roles for other people to help with the design. You could determine very specific responsibilities or general areas where help from larger team would be good. Then, recruit people like Tumulte, Micah, and others from this list to take specific roles / responsibilities toward making the design process successful. Others on this list: feel free to post here introducing yourself and the areas of design you may be interested in helping with.
