Aaron, I think you didn't mention the sparkleshare repository:

https://github.com/mray/Snowdrift-Design

The various designs are a bit hidden: one needs to open up the latest
svg in inkscape 0.91 and enable the respective layers.
this could be more transparent.

This post is a great reminder for me to ask for a proper place of
documentation! I'm thinking of a detailed design guideline with
illustrated examples.

For this I'd like to set up a wiki on gnu.io - I think I just don't have
the rights to do that.
