In writing the Email spec, in particular the current proposal for special Chandler IMAP folders, we've realized we should amend the Stamping spec to generalize some of the behavior we're expecting for email.

When users add email to the Chandler Events IMAP folder to add the email to their Chandler calendar, Chandler will automatically parse any date/time information in the email upon pulling down the email from the server into Chandler.

Similarly, if an user receives an email in Chandler via special Chandler headers or POP mail and decides to Stamp that message to add it to their calendar, Chandler should also automatically parse any date/time information in the message.

This behavior should apply to any kind of item that is being added to the calendar, not just messages, which means Notes and Tasks.

Is this a lot of extra work? Or is it marginally more effort if bkirsch is already going implement automagic date/time parsing for stamping email?
