I think the only thing that's weird here is that the 3 Verb options operate on 2 different Noun-Objects.

+ Cancel what? Cancel clicking outside of the Detail View.
+ Ignore what? Ignore changes made to the Detail View.
+ Save what? Save changes to the Detail View.

Not thinking about it too hard. I'm not sure what the difference is between Cancel and Ignore. I don't think anyone wants a lot of text in dialogs and buttons. Just looking to strike the right balance.

Either way, I don't feel particularly strongly about this issue. My guess is that most of the time, users will instinctively click Save without thinking too hard about it. The only time there might be confusion is if the user finds themselves negotiating between Cancel and Ignore.

Save changes?

[Cancel] [Ignore] [Save]

As you can see, I'm not in favor of lots of text on the buttons, not to mention too much text on error dialogs. Are people feeling particularly strong about having to display 'Save Changes', 'Ignore Changes' etc.?

Keep in mind, this is temporary and in the end our goal is to meet the *ideal* proposal.
