Hi Bobby,

Just to be clear, is your proposal to let users subscribe to the same collection twice and as a result, have that collection appear twice in the collection pulldown?

Do you have a specific use case in mind for this? I think unless there's a compelling use case, giving people the option to do this makes the dialog more confusing? I believe Priss' proposed dialog was just an informational dialog, not really one that asks you to make a decision.

Though I'm not sure why someone would want to have the same collection twice in their drop down list? I cannot think of a reason for having two of the same collection on the web UI—does anyone have a use case for doing this?

Especially since the target user we're satisfying for Preview is not someone who is sitting in the web UI for a long period of time managing multiple collections as a desktop user might be doing.

Does that make sense? I'll make an alternate proposal in my follow up e-mail.

Why would we let someone do this without giving them the chance to change their minds? If they are doing this it is almost certainly a mistake, so I would prefer a modal dialog box saying "You've already Subscribed to this collection. Is this really what you want [yes] [no]"
