Heh. Yes it's a hack, but it's the best one we've got! In other words, "Reload .chex" is the *recommended* way to migrate your data. "Restore published shares" is what you do when something goes wrong because it doesn't restore subscriptions, accounts or previously defined preferences.

.. or when you are installing on a separate computer, like your laptop, or perhaps after reformatting your drive after installing Leopard.

It's not just for when something "goes wrong".
