Just to make sure I'm understanding you correctly: Recurring events
that have been addressed end up as distinct modified occurrences in
the DONE section?
What is the reason for this behavior? I don't remember anymore ;)

One solution would be to filter recurring events more drastically
when displaying Mail. That certainly points to the idea of having a
specialized view for Mail rather than using the same Triage Table
View...
