OK, so I think that what I'm seeing is only a remnant of pre fix issues
that I just need to clear out of my collections. I've been a little gun
shy though emailing recurring events so, be ready to see me do more of
this. We'll see if that bug shows up again.

I don't know either but, whatever it was, it sure doesn't seem
commensurate with the permanent annoyance it creates :)
This is in no way intentional. It's sometimes, if not always, a symptom
of the "mail items are changed when they shouldn't be" class of bugs.
For a while we were randomizing headers when sharing mail messages,
including modifications to recurring events. That by itself would cause
what Philippe was seeing, thankfully that specific bug is fixed. I
think we've still seen other bugs in this class, though.
