True, although depending on their volatility and application dependency specifically on old versions, some of those interfaces have other benefits; I'm sure there are a lot of other apps that use wxwidgets for example. I can think of something right off the top of my head that can save cell phone contact lists and such, that uses wxpython (which is unfortunately a _pain_ to get built on Solaris last I tried).
