I assume you are talking about av1394 support in the kernel? This is 
very broken on Solaris x86. I think Stefan has been tasked with fixing the
kernel module, so it is in safe hands.

Are you wanting userland midi or oss to (re)support midi?
Do you have any packages that would be good to port?

Are you taking about the gnome mixer or the oss mixer. Both need some an

I haven't had a chance to update the ALSA lib etc patches for 1.0.15. 
SFE has 1.0.15rc2 patches at the moment if you want them. I will try to 
update SFE as soon as possible. I am not expecting much change from rc2.

Maybe we should target Christmas to get the major (useful) multimedia 
components integrated into Indiana. What is required?

For the longer term we should look at what is required to make Solaris 
(+ other Open Source platforms ) to be the premier multimedia platform :)
