The date issue will be fixed in vermillion_61 in Sun internal only. Current vermillion use the community message files and then some of the compatibility are lost. You can comment the bugzillia bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=402399
Do you have any other problems in translations? Recently we have started to open the JDS specific translations: http://cvs.opensolaris.org/source/xref/jds/spec-files/trunk/po-sun/ It's welcome if you can provide the translated .po files.
