You'd have to be more specific about what way you want gnome-terminal to act, especially since so few people still use dtterm to remember how different it is (or even have it installed - since my laptops & desktop run OpenSolaris, I can't bring it up without remote login to an older OS that still has CDE). For the fonts, according to /usr/dt/app-defaults/en_US.UTF-8/Dtterm it defaults to -dt-interface user-medium-r-normal-*..... which is mapped in /usr/openwin/lib/X11/fonts/F3bitmaps/fonts.alias to: -b&h-lucida sans typewriter-medium-r-normal-sans-*.... which should be available under the GNOME font menus as Lucida Sans Typewriter or LucidaTypewriter *if* you are using SXCE with it's collection of encumbered fonts. I don't believe those fonts are available in any OpenSolaris distro or repo at this time. -- -Alan Coopersmith- alan.coopersmith at sun.com Sun Microsystems, Inc. - X Window System Engineering
