W/no way to edit my previous post.. Using Google OpenDNS (ossdoc.com/2013/03/quick-way-to-set-up-google-dns-on.html) and/or setting /etc/default/avahi-daemon AVAHI_DAEMON_DETECT_LOCAL=0 did the trick; NO idea what's going on. :f
