Paul Carmichael, so few details were provided, it's hard to "understand" what the issue is. ;)
For example: 1) What is the full printer manufacture and model? Saying it's a Samsung networked printer is not enough information. 2) Did it ever work in 16.04, and then broke after an update? ** Tags added: regression-release ** Changed in: sane-backends (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium => Low ** Changed in: sane-backends (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to sane-backends in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1615393 Title: 16.04 sane no longer sees network scanner Status in sane-backends package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: 14.04 used to see and access my Samsung networked scanner. 16.04 doesn't see it. Maybe it's related to the apparently very buggy samba in 16.04? I don't see any windows shares either.
