If you press alt+f2 and enter "killall nautilus", then the problem
should go away.

  nautilus menu bar disappears

Status in “nautilus” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Sometimes I can not access the menu bar. Specifically, for example, when I 
select "File" options are missing(invisible). I do not have this problem with 
other applications.
  My pc is never extinguished, only to sleep regularly.
