Chromium is not accepting translations from the community any longer,
unfortunately.
And it doesn't appear they have translations for Gaelic, either. Their
documentation wrt translations doesn't seem to be up-to-date, so I don't know
if/how your work could be submitted to the chromium project directly, if you're
still interested. Sorry that this didn't get processed timely.

Title:
Adding Gaelic (gd) to builds
Status in chromium-browser package in Ubuntu:
Won't Fix
Bug description:
Based on
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1252253
and
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+question/239233
I'm filing a bug, not a question.
We're making good progress with the Gaelic localization of Chromium
(https://translations.launchpad.net/chromium-
browser/translations/+lang/gd) and because I assume this will be a
fairly drawn out process, I would like to get the ball rolling now for
getting it added to builds for Ubuntu.
