hi there, i've been trying to find the time to do a little video, but in the meantime i have some more details:
- related bug: pressing lock (super+l) does effectively "lock" the machine in that it prevents input/interaction, but does not hide the desktop. pressing it a second time displays the lock screen - further detail: bug where desktop is displayed only happens to me when I close the laptop lid, rather than locking it manually, presumably because when I lock I hit super+l twice because of the above. - to resume from "broken-lock" i need to press the lock key to display the password input screen. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1800352 Title: screen lock leaves desktop and current applications displayed unless activated twice Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: after upgrade to ubuntu 18.10, when resuming from lock (eg re-opening laptop lid), before typing password (or indeed anything), the whole desktop including running apps is displayed. although they are not interactable/responsive, sensitive info is displayed. possibly related, super+l seems to put the desktop into a similar state - apps visible, but not interactable. pressing it a second time produces a more normal lock reaction. gnome-shell: Installed: 3.30.1-2ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1800352/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
