@hjwp2 - FWIW, for me it does bring up the lock screen but it's still bugged, as--while I cannot interact with them once they're started--I am able to start applications in the Gnome Dock and as well as interact with any Gnome Activities Bar widgets.
Depending on what's on your dock, I suppose this could be "bad". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1800352 Title: screen lock leaves desktop and current applications displayed unless activated twice Status in gnome-shell package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: after upgrade to ubuntu 18.10, when resuming from lock (eg re-opening laptop lid), before typing password (or indeed anything), the whole desktop including running apps is displayed. although they are not interactable/responsive, sensitive info is displayed. possibly related, super+l seems to put the desktop into a similar state - apps visible, but not interactable. pressing it a second time produces a more normal lock reaction. gnome-shell: Installed: 3.30.1-2ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1800352/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
