Happened again this morning. Interestingly, I noticed serge@peqn:~$ nmcli con Error: Can't obtain connections: settings service is not running.
This continues to happen after network manager finally shows me the list of ap's. It seems possible this would be related to the fact that I do have an interface defined in /etc/network/interfaces. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to network-manager-applet in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/956696 Title: It frequently takes a while (a few minutes) for nm indicator to show networks Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: This happens on both my (uptodate precise) laptops, though not every time. When I start the laptop and log in, I'm connected to my access point, but clicking over the indicator doesn't show the current or available networks. I'm attaching a screenshot.
